Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare in Braintree is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner on a permanent part-time basis. You will train and mentor carers to deliver exceptional homecare, while assisting the branch with compliance and documentation.

Visit customers to review care plans and perform risk assessments, ensuring safety and person-centred care. The role blends field visits with team leadership and office collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Care Assistant and a desire to advance.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
  • Strong communication skills and a supportive approach to team work.
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to maintain compliance and quality standards.
  • People-first mindset with calm, confident leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident and capable to deliver high-quality care.
  • Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
  • Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain standards across the care team.
  • Visit customers to review care plans ensuring accuracy, safety and person-centred care.
  • Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
  • Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
