Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust in Basildon seeks a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join our dedicated cardiac physiology team at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. The role covers the Basildon site with both tertiary and secondary care services.

You will independently carry out and report procedures, with opportunities to develop skills across echo, cath lab, device management and ECG interpretation.

Qualifications

• Carry out and report a range of cardiac physiology procedures.
• Support practice across sub-specialties including echo, cath lab, device management, and ECG interpretation.
• Develop specialist clinical knowledge through ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist skills covering basic and advanced procedures with clinical supervision as needed.
• Participate in training and supervision of the Cardiac Physiology team.
• Carry out administrative duties to support department operations.
