Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust's Southend University Hospital is seeking a Band 5 Clinical Physiologist to join the Cardiorespiratory department, delivering cardiac and respiratory investigations and contributing to patient care.

You should hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, pursue AHCS registration, and maintain CPD; the role includes echocardiography, Holter monitoring, and training junior staff, with a salary of about £32,073 per year and pro rata for part-time.

Qualifications

• BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS or ILS certification is required.
• Registration with AHCS or RCCP/BHRS/BSE/ARTP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures to a specialist level.
• Maintain clinical documentation and participate in data reporting for statistical analysis.
• Assist in training apprentice and student physiologists within the department.
• Provide telephone support and community testing where appropriate.
