Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust in Teesside is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist to join the cardiac investigations unit. The role involves running diagnostic tests, reporting ambulatory ECGs and tapes, and working independently in the cath lab on angiography and device implants.

You will work across sites, with flexible hours and a focus on high standards of patient care. Prior NHS experience and a BSc in Cardiac Physiology are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent.
• Eligible for RCCP registration.
• Experience in the acute hospital NHS setting.
• Experience in tape analysis and reporting.
• Able to perform tests within the cardiac cath lab.
• Experience in exercise tolerance tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient specialist cardiology clinical service with high standards of patient care
• Perform a range of diagnostic cardiac investigations to aid diagnosis and treatment
• Analyse and report ambulatory ECGs, holter tapes and 24-hour monitors
• Work independently with the multidisciplinary team in the cath lab, including invasive angiography and device implant
• Assist in device follow-up clinics as appropriate
• Contribute to organising staff duties, daily workloads and waiting lists
• Prioritise cardiac investigations to meet targets and keep a well-balanced day
• Train, advise and support the development of other staff
• Communicate effectively with cardiology multidisciplinary teams and acute wards
• Work under the supervision of specialist leads to co-ordinate a quality service
• Prioritise own workload under pressure and changing directorate demands
• Work at any University Hospitals Tees site as required, including the Stockton community diagnostic centre
