Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join the Heart and Chest department (Cardiorespiratory) in a full-time, Band 6 post. The role involves a wide range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including Echocardiography, ambulatory monitoring, pacing, and complex device follow-up, with a focus on high-quality reports and patient care.

You should hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, with AHCS registration or working towards

Qualifications

• BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent required.
• AHCS registration or a plan to achieve it is essential.
• Commitment to CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wide range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures to high standards.
• Produce accurate reports and maintain clinical documentation and databases.
• Assist in training apprentice and student Physiologists and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
