Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting for a well-established franchise-approved car dealership in Bristol seeking a professional Used Car Sales Controller. The role offers a competitive base salary with uncapped on-target earnings and includes a company car and laptop.

You will oversee vehicle sales, finance and insurance products, train the Used Car Sales Executives, and ensure FCA compliance while driving monthly targets and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Used Car Sales Controller or similar in a franchise-approved dealership (F&I focus).
• Strong understanding of finance, insurance and products sold in car dealerships.
• Experience with FCA compliance and ethos.
• Ability to lead, motivate and train sales staff.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Based within commuting distance to Bristol with a valid UK driving licence.
• Background as Car Sales Executive with F&I experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sale of vehicles, finance and insurance products with FCA compliance.
• Provide guidance and training to Used Car Sales Executives on finance, insurance and upselling.
• Assist in closing vehicle sales and appraising part exchanges.
• Complete monthly reporting on sales performance, especially for finance and insurance.
• Support continuous improvement of the sales team through training.
• Develop and maintain outstanding customer relationships to promote satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet monthly targets.
• Ensure dealership compliance with relevant industry regulations.

• Basic salary of £28,000 per annum
• Uncapped on-target earnings of £60,000+ annually, based on performance

Duties of the Car Sales Controller

• Oversee the sale of vehicles, finance, and insurance products ensuring FCA compliance

Requirements of the Car Sales Controller

• Proven experience as a Used Car Sales Controller or similar role within a franchise-approved dealership
• Strong understanding of finance, insurance, and additional products sold in car dealerships
• Experience with FCA compliance and ethos
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train sales staff
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Based within a reasonable commuting distance to Bristol
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• For individuals with a background as a Car Sales Executive with F&I experience, consideration will be given
