Job summary

NHS Property Services is seeking a Car Park Attendant to support a hospital car park. You will ensure parking is orderly, keep roadways clear and assist patients, visitors and staff with directions.

The role also involves reporting faults on barriers and pay-on-foot machines and supporting the Major Incident Plan when required. Shifts run Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm, with a focus on safe, efficient car park operation and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are parked correctly and keep roadways clear
• Address misuse of the car park in line with site parking policies
• Patrol the car park
• Assist and give directions to patients, visitors and staff
• Monitor faults and basic maintenance needs on barriers, pay-on-foot machines and traffic-control equipment
• Follow local traffic management procedures
• Support the implementation of the Major Incident Plan when required
