Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Parking Officers to direct traffic and enforce parking regulations across its busy NHS sites. The role involves patrolling car parks, handling pay machines, and directing visitors, patients and staff on a compact site.

You will work a 37.5 hour week with weekend shifts and may be deployed to other Hampshire Hospital sites. The successful candidate will be polite, calm under pressure, and able to communicate clearly while managing conflicts

Qualifications

• Willing to walk and work outdoors on varied sites.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical problems with car parking machines; replace receipt rolls.
• Identify vehicles inappropriately parked and issue warnings or charges.
• Maintain car parks; keep areas clean and tidy.
• Place cones or signs to direct traffic or close spaces.
• Report incidents using the health and safety incident reporting tool.
• Liaise with the parking administration team.
• Support facilities services (Portering/ Security) when directed.
