Job summary

Barnsley Council is seeking an experienced Capital Asset Project Manager to lead construction and refurbishment projects as part of a three-year capital programme. You will drive delivery from feasibility through handover, ensuring safety, affordability and quality for children and young people in Barnsley.

You will collaborate with strategic property services, children's services, education and commissioning colleagues, managing budgets, risks and supplier relationships in a public sector

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction projects safely and effectively.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance and CDM regulations.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple construction, refurbishment and property adaptation projects.
• Develop scopes, delivery plans, budgets and programmes.
• Coordinate feasibility studies, designs, planning approvals and procurement.
