Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Project Manager to lead major high-rise refurbishment and capital investment initiatives. You will oversee inception through completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, cost control and quality across occupied residential environments.

The role requires strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams, robust stakeholder engagement with residents and professionals, and adherence to Building Safety and CDM regulations. Hybrid working options apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering high-value, complex high-rise construction or refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of Building Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and fire safety in residential buildings.
• Ability to manage programmes, budgets, risks and contractor performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management with residents, consultants, contractors and senior leaders.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, surveyors and consultants.
• Strong commercial awareness and NEC/JCT contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major high-rise residential refurbishment and capital investment projects.
• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget and quality.
• Oversee programme delivery, risk management, contract administration and budget control.
• Engage residents and coordinate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
