Job summary

Academia is seeking an Endpoint and Application Engineer to manage Windows devices, deploy applications via Intune and Autopilot, and provide 2nd line support within a university campus setting in Cardiff.

You will work as part of the Technical Services team, balancing operational duties with service improvement while ensuring security standards and meeting service levels for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with MECM/SCCM and Defender for Endpoint.
• Experience with Patch My PC, SCEPman and application packaging.
• Azure Virtual Desktop/DaaS experience is a plus.
• Higher Education experience is advantageous.
• Microsoft, ITIL or Azure certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Intune-managed Windows devices.
• Support device provisioning with Windows Autopilot.
• Package, test and deploy applications via Intune.
• Act as escalation point for endpoint and application issues.
• Support endpoint security, vulnerability remediation and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate processes.
• Collaborate with university stakeholders to resolve issues.
