Job summary

Academia the Technology Group is seeking an experienced Endpoint Support Team Lead to operate onsite at a university campus in Cardiff. You will lead Level 1/2 support, provide technical direction, and coordinate workload across endpoint management, Intune, and App deployments.

Balance operational leadership with hands-on delivery, proactive maintenance, and service improvement while maintaining SLAs, security controls, and high service quality for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coordinating technical support teams.
• Strong Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Windows 10/11 and Autopilot experience.
• Experience with application packaging and deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and escalation management.
• Familiar with Incident, Change and Problem Management ITSM tools (Freshservice/ServiceNow).
• Knowledge of endpoint security and Microsoft security technologies.
• PowerShell experience for automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management for service quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activity of Level 1/2 support, coaching and mentoring.
• Be first escalation point for complex issues; manage incidents within SLAs.
• Oversee Intune-managed Windows devices, configuration, security and lifecycle.
• Oversee Autopilot provisioning and app deployment via Intune with testing and docs.
• Provide 2nd-line escalation support for endpoint issues; drive permanent fixes.
• Support security/compliance initiatives and change management processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve service delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers and university stakeholders on performance and improvements.
