Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist (0.8 WTE) for a 12‑month secondment to cover maternity leave, to join Kingston CAMHS, an established Tier 3/Getting More Help service supporting children, young people and families with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. The service is multidisciplinary, comprising psychiatry, psychology, family therapy and nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide psychological assessment, formulation and therapy to individuals and groups.
  2. Contribute to teaching, supervision, service development, research and audit.
  3. Provide clinical and professional supervision to Band 7 Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and trainees on placement, subject to experience.
  4. Participate in integrated working across the South London Partnership with SLaM EDS.
  5. Support the development and implementation of evidence‑based interventions in line with CYP IAPT methodology.
  6. Conduct risk assessment and management for young children and their parents/carers.
  7. Maintain accurate and accessible health‑care records in accordance with Trust policy and Information Governance.
  8. Communicate treatment plans and progress to relevant agencies in a skilled and sensitive manner.
  9. Monitor progress of interventions against CYP IAPT minimum data set standards.
Qualifications

  • Strong assessment, formulation and therapeutic skills.
  • Evidence of teaching, supervision or audit experience is desirable.
