Job summary

Sedgwick North England is seeking a thoughtful Claims Technician to guide claimants through the process, supporting the Loss Adjuster and coordinating with contractors to move claims forward.

You will be the calm voice for homeowners after incidents, explaining complex details clearly and negotiating fair settlements with insurers and suppliers. We offer training and development, including the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification, with flexible work from home or office.

Qualifications

• Experience in a claims environment, ideally property claims.
• Excellent communication skills: You'll speak with and write to policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more, explaining complex details clearly and negotiating settlements.
• A commitment to work towards the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Loss Adjuster throughout handling of claims and act as the first point of contact for claimants.
• Guide customers through the claims process, decipher details, and coordinate with contractors to move settlements forward.
• Assist with training and development and contribute to a proactive claims team.
