Job summary

Tesco UK is hiring for a Cafes Team Member to join our busy Tesco Cafes nationwide. You will help with cooking, serving customers, and maintaining high hygiene and safety standards while contributing to a welcoming cafe environment.

Flexibility in working hours is encouraged, with opportunities for progression and a supportive team culture. Roles involve lightweight kitchen tasks, POS, and delivering great customer service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Being aware of (and following) all operational policies and procedures.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our cafs delicious menu.
• Making sure we maintain our standards and all food products are available.
• Knowing our cafs menu inside and out and serving food exactly as its intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing on information to the Caf Manager.
• Staying up-to-date with business communications and exciting new initiatives.
• Clearing and sanitising tables so our caf stays clean.
