Job summary

Tesco Café is hiring a Team Member to join our cafe team. You’ll share a mix of cooking, serving customers and upholding safety standards, while helping keep equipment and spaces clean. The role offers flexible hours, opportunities for progression and a welcoming, inclusive culture across Tesco Cafes nationwide.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practice FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Assist with deliveries and safe storage of food.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the café’s menu.
• Ensure standards and availability of all food products.
• Know the café menu inside and out and serve food as intended.
• Resolve customer complaints and pass on information to the Café Manager.
• Stay updated with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitise tables to keep the café clean.
