Job summary

Morrisons is seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to lead its in-store cafe at An Aird in Fort William. You will be responsible for daily cafe operations, staff rotas, training, stock control and food safety, while ensuring friendly customer service and a welcoming environment.

The role requires strong leadership, hospitality experience and the ability to drive sales targets while maintaining high standards across the cafe operations.

This position would suit someone with a background in hospitality or customer service management who enjoys leading a team, maintaining high standards and creating a welcoming place for customers.

The Role

• Take responsibility for the daily operation of the Morrisons cafe.
• Lead and motivate colleagues to provide friendly and attentive customer service.
• Report directly to the Store Manager.
• Organise staff rotas, attendance and daily working arrangements.
• Train and support colleagues to develop their skills and confidence.
• Oversee food safety procedures and maintain high standards of hygiene.
• Monitor stock availability and manage ordering requirements.
• Control food waste and support efficient use of resources.
• Help the team meet operational and sales targets.
• Plan daily routines and allocate staff responsibilities.
• Respond to customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve service.
• Build effective working relationships with other store departments.
• Support colleagues with performance and development.
• Maintain an organised, efficient and welcoming cafe environment.
• Take responsibility as Manager in Charge of the store when required.

Working Pattern

• Permanent, full time position.
• 40 hours per week.
• Fully flexible working arrangements according to business requirements.
• Based at the Morrisons store in Fort William.
