Job summary

Tesco Cafés in York region is looking for an experienced Café Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales and ensure high standards of service. You’ll recruit, train and develop a friendly team, oversee opening and closing routines, and ensure the café runs safely and efficiently.

With a background in hospitality at supervisory level, you’ll motivate staff, optimise workflows and deliver a welcoming customer experience.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality at supervisory level or above.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• People management skills to lead by example and coach a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall café operations, including routines, processes and standards.
• Hold full profit and loss accountability for the café.
• Maximise sales and ensure safety and legal compliance for customers and staff.
• Lead and inspire the team to hit sales targets.
• Identify improvements to service plans and ways of working.
• Recruit, train and develop team members.
