Job summary

Tesco Cafés is seeking a Café Manager with a passion for customer service and proven people management skills to oversee daily operations and the development of a friendly team. You will lead by example, drive sales, and ensure a safe, legal, and high-standard service environment across Tesco Cafés.

With your hospitality background and supervisory experience, you will train and mentor staff, act as a menu expert, and maintain fast service with quality food and drink in a welcoming cafe setting.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality, at supervisory level or above.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• People management skills that enable you to lead by example and coach inclusively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall running of the café, including routines, processes, sales standards and changes, where necessary.
• Hold full profit and loss accountability for the café.
• Maximise sales, impact and presentation in the café, and ensure everything is safe and legal for customers and colleagues.
• Lead your team and inspire them to hit sales targets.
• Understand the key drivers of our service plan and deliver to the standard required.
• Select, train and develop team members to enable pride in the work they do.
• Act as a café menu expert who can share knowledge with the team.
• Ensure customers are served quickly and that they receive high quality food and drinks in a clean, tidy environment.
