Job summary

The Square Camberley in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive Cafe Manager to lead daily operations at Muffin Break, ensuring outstanding customer service while maintaining food quality, cleanliness and presentation.

You will manage opening/closing, rosters, stock, costs, health and safety, recruit and train a friendly team, collaborate with kitchen staff, set service standards for coffee and beverages, monitor sales and labour, minimise waste and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a cafe or similar food and beverage business.
• Strong barista skills and a hands-on approach to daily service.
• Confident using EPOS systems, cashless payments and management software.
• Proactive, organised and able to take initiative.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good knowledge of food safety, allergen management and stock control.
• Strong awareness of sales, labour costs and day-to-day operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of Muffin Break, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation.
• Oversee daily opening and closing, staff rotas, stock ordering, cost control and health and safety compliance, while recruiting, training and motivating a friendly, efficient team.
• Working closely with the kitchen team, will ensure smooth service, effective communication and consistent operational standards.
• Set the standard for customer service, coffee and drinks preparation, and the presentation of our food and beverages.
• Monitor sales, labour and stock levels, minimise waste and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Create a welcoming café environment where customers enjoy great food and service, and the team feels supported and motivated.
