About The Role
Job Title: Business Support Officer
Contract: Fixed Term (6 month contract)
Location: Plough Lane, Hereford
Hours: Full time – 37 hours
Salary: HC05 (£25,183 - £27,269)

The role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer focused and highly organised individual to join the Community Wellbeing Business Support team at Herefordshire Council on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
As a Business Support Officer, you will provide excellent customer service to staff and members of the public. You will support with a wide range of administrative duties for teams across the Community Wellbeing Directorate including processing incoming calls, distributing confidential documents, monitoring mailboxes and taking minutes for meetings, as well as ensuring the services run smoothly by responding and resolving enquiries efficiently.
About You

  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, whilst having a focus on high-quality customer service
  • Organisational skills are crucial to this role, to ensure that enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • You will be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to multi-task whilst producing high quality work is essential
  • You will possess a wide range of IT skills and knowledge and have the ability to work on different systems
  • You will be able to record information using excel spreadsheets with accuracy and attention to detail, to ensure that records are kept up to date
