A local government authority in England is looking for a Business Support Officer in Ellesmere Port. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient operations by managing financial systems and handling communications. Business Support Officers are crucial to the efficient day-to-day operations of a team. They are responsible for supporting the organisation in a variety of ways including: being the first point of contact for queries and responding to them in a sensitive and timely manner; monitoring and maintaining financial systems to support with accurate reporting; and ensuring that information is up to date on communications, leaflets and websites.

The School Planning and Policy team have the main responsibility for the administration of Personal Travel Budgets, which are payments made to parents/carers of children eligible for travel assistance who have chosen to make their own travel arrangements. The team are also be required to support the School Organisation team who are responsible for pupil planning. This will involve administrative support where: schools are converting to Academies; schools have requested changes to the Published Admissions Numbers, which requires public consultation; or where new housing developments necessitate the building of a new school.
