Business Support Administrator
Waverley Court

We are seeking a Business Support Administrator to provide comprehensive support across the organisation's corporate functions. The role involves assisting customers and service users, requiring proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), data entry, and word processing. Experience working in a busy office environment, managing mailboxes, and understanding general office procedures is essential.

The position entails interacting with internal and external customers, so excellent customer care skills are necessary. Candidates should possess good organizational skills, maintain strict confidentiality, prioritize workloads effectively, use initiative, and work well within a team. Strong written and oral communication skills and a flexible approach to meet service needs are also important.

This role does not have direct line management responsibilities. It is based at Waverley Court but may require working at other Council locations. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday 08:30 to 15:55, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

The successful candidate will support the Council’s Information Governance Team, including logging Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests, and providing administrative support to the wider team.

  • You must have excellent attention to detail and focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • You should be capable of organizing, sorting, and validating data.
  • Effective communication skills are required.
