Business Support Administrator

Salary: £25,322 - £27,727
Hours: 36 per week
We are seeking a Business Support Administrator to provide comprehensive and flexible support across the organisation's corporate functions. The role involves providing general business support to customers and service users, requiring good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience in data entry and word processing, and familiarity with busy office environments, including monitoring mailboxes and using relevant technology and equipment.
The role involves dealing with internal and external customers, so excellent customer care skills are essential. Candidates should have strong organisational skills, maintain strict confidentiality, be able to prioritise tasks, use initiative, participate as team members, and communicate effectively both in writing and orally. A flexible approach to meet service needs is required.
The Business Support Administrator will not have direct line management responsibilities. The position is based at Waverley Court but may require work at other Council locations. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Friday 08:30-15:55, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
The successful candidate will support the Council's Information Governance Team, including logging Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests, and providing general administrative support as needed.
