Job summary

Reed in Partnership is seeking a Business Manager in Cambridge to lead a team delivering Youth Jobs Guarantee and related employability services. This office-based role will travel across Cambridge and Peterborough to engage partners and manage performance targets.

Qualifications

• Must have direct line management experience.
• Proven track record of achieving targets in similar roles.
• Experience in or willingness to progress into people management and development.
• Excellent stakeholder management and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across the Herts & Essex region.
• Experience in fast-paced, target-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder engagement with key partners (DPW, JCP and Employers).
• Performance management and identifying skills gaps; mentoring and coaching staff.
• Manage a small caseload of participants.
• Act as a part-fee earner against targets.
• Identify training needs and coordinate delivery.
• Conduct regular reviews and support performance development processes.
• Coach team members and delegate responsibilities.
• Monitor KPIs and use MI tools to track performance and trends.
• Respond to member/customer feedback and escalate issues as needed.
