Job summary

Reed in Partnership is seeking a Business Manager in the Cambridge area. This is an office-based role with travel across Cambridge and Peterborough and offers a salary of £34,750–£43,000 per year, with some flexibility for part-time hours depending on business needs.

You will lead a team of Careers Coaches, manage key stakeholder relationships and drive performance within the Youth Jobs Guarantee programme, while benefiting from Reed in Partnership’s development and leave provisions.

Qualifications

• Direct line management experience of a team.
• Proven track record of achieving targets in previous roles.
• Interest or experience in progressing into people management.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience.
• Strong administration and precise record-keeping abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the Herts & Essex region.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder engagement with DPW, JCP and employers.
• Performance management and coaching staff; identify skills gaps.
• Manage a small caseload of participants.
• Act as a part-fee earner against agreed targets.
• Identify training needs and coordinate delivery.
• Regular reviews and contributions to PAR, PDR processes.
• Monitor KPI trends using management information tools.
• Monitor customer services and resolve basic complaints; escalate when needed.
