Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Manager for our Exeter dealership client. The role focuses on maximising vehicle finance opportunities, presenting insurance products clearly, and ensuring compliant, customer‑friendly sales journeys.

The ideal candidate has automotive sales management experience, strong negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory standards, with a valid UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Business Manager, Transaction Manager or within Automotive Sales Management.
• Strong understanding of automotive finance and insurance products.
• Good knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to perform within a fast-paced, target-driven dealership.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sales Team in maximising vehicle, finance and protection opportunities.
• Present finance, insurance, warranty and protection products clearly to customers.
• Tailor finance and protection options to individual customer requirements.
• Ensure sales are completed compliantly and meet regulatory standards.
• Drive departmental performance against agreed sales and finance targets.
• Deliver a professional and transparent customer journey.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and the wider Sales Team.

We are recruiting for an experienced Business Manager, Transaction Manager or Automotive Sales Manager to join a successful main dealership in Exeter. Applicants must have previous automotive Business Manager, Transaction Manager or sales management experience, strong knowledge of automotive finance, insurance and compliance, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.

• Salary: £35,000 basic
• OTE: £55,000
