What we’re looking for…

ScienceLogic is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for outbound prospecting and supporting our field sales teams. They will develop new business opportunities through metric-driven prospecting efforts and opportunity qualification. Candidates must have strong business development and communication skills, with a basic understanding of technology infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing…
  • Develop and identify sales opportunities through prospecting, cold calls, and relationship development.
  • Understand and effectively communicate ScienceLogic's value propositions.
  • Exhibit superior tenacity and objection handling skills.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospects and partners in the IT Operations sector.
  • Use Salesforce.com diligently, focusing on lead process and development.
  • Generate leads by identifying and developing new business prospects from various sources, including prospect lists, discovery, and research.
  • Qualify all leads in Salesforce.com and other databases as set by Inside Sales Management, from sales activities, tradeshows, marketing, referrals, partners, website, consultants, and call campaigns.
Qualities you possess…
  • Over one year of experience within an inside sales organization.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to reach decision-makers and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Ability to call into different industries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, Outreach, and other sales tools.
