Net Zero Evolution is seeking a Business Development Representative in London. You will handle outbound cycles across the UK, Europe and the US, qualifying needs and directing clients to the best route on our platform.

Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 basic, rising to £35,000 to £40,000 within your first 12 months. Uncapped commission on top. Realistic on-target earnings of £55,000 in year one and £85,000 in year two.
Location: London, Four days a week in the office.
Most BDR jobs hand you one product and a script. This one gives you three routes to a solution and asks you to work out which one actually fits. Some calls end in a search assignment. Some end with a client posting on our job board, or hiring the role themselves on our own platform. You qualify, not close, and getting that judgement right is what makes you good at this.
Net Zero Evolution recruits for the decarbonisation of transport and energy: EVs, renewables, hydrogen, and the infrastructure behind them. We built our name in search, but we also run our own job board and a hiring technology platform, because the honest goal here is making clients less dependent on agencies, not more dependent. Three routes to market under one roof is unusual for a recruitment business our size, and it is what keeps this job a real conversation instead of a script.
You will speak to hiring teams across the UK, Europe and the US and work out what they actually need: search support for a hard role, a place to advertise their own vacancies, or a platform that lets their internal team hire more without leaning on an agency for every seat. You qualify the need, match it to the right route, and book the meeting or demo with our Client Management team, who take it from there.
We use AI to do the research and build the account plans, so you are never handed a raw list of 500 names and left to work out cold who is worth calling. That part is done before you pick up the phone. What happens on the call is entirely yours.
You do not need recruitment or SaaS experience. You do need plenty of outbound experience already, cold calling, cold email or appointment setting, anywhere you have contacted someone who was not expecting it and got a result. You are naturally curious, happy asking a second and third question rather than pitching on the first, and organised enough to run a proper pipeline. Because our clients sit across the UK, Europe and the US, your hours need to flex around that: some early starts for Europe, some evenings for the US. That flexibility is part of the job.
You start on £30,000 to £33,000 basic, rising to £35,000 to £40,000 within your first year as your pipeline builds. Commission on top is uncapped, with monthly, quarterly and annual incentives, and realistic on-target earnings of £55,000 in year one and £85,000 in year two.
This is our first BDR hire, so there is no worn path to follow, you set it. Do this well and the honest route out is Head of Outbound within two to three years, building and running the team of BDRs who come after you, working from the playbook we write together.
You will be based in our London office four days a week, with a fully expensed on-site gym, showers and towel service, and a rooftop terrace.
Net Zero Evolution is a global recruitment business built for one sector, the decarbonisation of transport and energy. We work with the companies building EVs, renewables, hydrogen and the infrastructure around them, across search, RPO, workforce mobilisation and our own hiring technology. We plant ten trees for every placement we make.
