Business Development Manager - Transport

Job Details

This role is field-based with a salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus car/car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance program, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced business development professional with a strong understanding of the Transport sector to drive growth. Responsibilities include achieving business development targets, contributing to sector strategy, cultivating client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and leading proposals and presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Business Development team to align with Unipart’s objectives.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Transport sector.
  3. Support the Transport Director in delivering growth targets.
  4. Develop and maintain sector strategy, targeting customers, markets, and services.
  5. Shape Transport sector offerings based on customer insights, working with engineering and innovation teams.
  6. Deliver sector-specific value propositions and support marketing efforts.
  7. Conduct sector mapping, research, and opportunity development.
  8. Support overall pipeline development and provide leads to other sectors.
  9. Prepare detailed tender information to meet profitability targets.
  10. Develop and manage relationships with new customers.
  11. Lead the preparation of tender responses and presentations.
  12. Ensure smooth transition of new customers to Operations teams.
