Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager in the UK. Salary to £80k (doe) plus car allowance. You will drive new business, build strong client relationships and coordinate with technical and delivery teams to convert opportunities into tangible wins.

You will own the end-to-end BD cycle, from market intelligence and opportunity capture to tender submission, while collaborating with sales, tendering, marketing and project teams. UK and overseas travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience winning new business and pitching to clients.
• Experience managing client and supplier relationships across private/public sectors.
• Experience in a fast-paced BD/sales environment.
• Background in design & build projects in regulated environments.
• Excellent PowerPoint presentation and communication skills.
• Strong IT skills in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities in line with strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and with strategic partners.
• Meet clients and present technical and commercial capabilities.
• Manage opportunities through the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
• Collaborate with Tendering team from capture to tender submission.
• Develop capture and account plans to maximise win rates.
• Research markets, competitors and procurement activity to identify opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Represent the business at exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
• Support marketing activity and tender collateral.
• Provide market intelligence and sales forecasts to support decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions.
