Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth in a regulated engineering environment. You will identify opportunities, develop client relationships and convert market intelligence into tender-ready opportunities.

You'll own BD activity across PP&E, manage opportunities in the CRM, collaborate with technical and delivery teams and represent the company at events. Regular UK travel is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development or sales.
• Experience in complex, technical or highly regulated environments.
• Experience developing and managing client and supplier relationships.
• Experience in fast-paced business development or sales environments.
• Background in design and build projects delivered within regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and strategic partners.
• Present technical and commercial capabilities to prospective customers.
• Manage opportunities through the CRM system, including Salesforce.
• Collaborate with Tendering to develop opportunities from capture to tender submission.
• Develop capture and account plans to maximise opportunities and win rates.
• Research markets, customers, competitors and procurement activity.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Represent the business at exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
• Support marketing activity, including tender collateral.
• Provide market intelligence and sales forecasts to support decision-making.
• Work with technical, delivery, commercial, marketing and BD teams.
• Develop relationships with third-party organisations to deliver complete solutions.
