Business Development Manager Luxury Europe

Are you a driven, relationship-focused sales professional with a passion for luxury hospitality?

At Meliá Hotels International, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager – Luxury Europe (Based in London) to join our Global Sales team. You will lead efforts to grow corporate and consortia business across our hotel portfolio, manage key global accounts, negotiate contracts, and shape the future of business travel with one of the world's most prestigious hotel groups.

Salary: Competitive plus bonus

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive Business Growth: Collaborate with the Luxury Brands Sales Senior Director to define and implement strategic sales plans targeting high-value corporate and consortia accounts across Europe.
  • Represent Meliá: Attend meetings, events, and trade shows to promote the brand through trusted travel partners, agencies, airlines, associations, and networks.
  • Lead RFP Process: Negotiate and ensure our hotels are featured prominently in client travel programs to maximize revenue.
  • Build Long-Term Relationships: Serve as the main contact for your global accounts, understanding their needs and aligning them with Meliá’s offerings.
  • Collaborate: Work with hotel sales managers and fellow BDMs to develop strategies aligned with local and global goals.
  • Enhance Brand Visibility: Organize familiarization trips, promotional campaigns, and maintain effective sales materials.
  • Analyze Data: Monitor account performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies to increase market share and retention.

Requirements:

  • Based in London
  • 3+ years in a similar role within hospitality
  • Background in Tourism, Hospitality, or Business Development
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Proficient with CRM and sales data tools
  • Strategic, negotiation, and relationship skills
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, passionate about luxury hospitality
  • Knowledge of corporate travel and consortia landscape
  • Strong trend awareness and strategic insight
