Job description

Job Opportunity: Business Development Manager

Our client is a Main contractor with an established business and team, currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in London.

They focus on projects ranging from £1M to £10M, primarily in High-End Residential & Hospitality sectors, including new builds and interiors. In this lead role, you will report to and work closely with the Operations Director, Bid/Commercial team, and be responsible for work-winning, developing new leads, and expanding business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within the construction industry and be interested in joining an established SME.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Present to potential clients and consultants through direct communication, face-to-face meetings, calls, and emails.
  2. Attend meetings and industry events, including trade shows, with clients and prospects.
  3. Generate leads and schedule appointments for preliminary interviews and briefings.
  4. Report on Business Development activities to management.
  5. Manage a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring all deadlines are met and information meets company standards.
  6. Assist in creating client proposals and related documentation as part of the submission team.
  7. Collaborate closely with the estimating and technical teams.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Recognized industry qualifications and/or a proven relevant track record.
  2. Significant experience in business development within the construction/property industry.
  3. Exceptional relationship management and networking skills, with a genuine passion for Construction & Property sectors.
