Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer focusing on AWS, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices. Your role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure to support trading operations. A strong background in cloud computing, automation, and CI/CD pipelines is essential to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
2. Kubernetes Administration: Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications, ensuring high availability and security.
3. Automation & CI/CD: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment, testing, and monitoring.
4. Observability & Monitoring: Develop monitoring solutions with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack to enhance system reliability.
5. Security & Compliance: Apply best practices for cloud security, IAM policies, and compliance standards (SOC2, ISO 27001).
6. Incident Response & Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize system performance.
7. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools for automation.
8. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to promote DevOps culture.
9. Disaster Recovery & Reliability Engineering: Design failover and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.

Background and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles.
• Interest or exposure to trading or similar themes is desirable but not essential.

Competencies and Personality

• Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM).
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience (EKS, K3s, or self-managed).
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Solid understanding of networking (VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, Firewalls).
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
• Experience with high-performance, low-latency systems.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven computing.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and FinOps strategies.
• Exposure to crypto, traditional finance, or trading is a plus but not required.
