Description

Amazon is innovating in the Operations and Logistics space and looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical Business Development Manager to join Amazon Shipping UK. Amazon Shipping has exciting plans to accelerate growth across 2024 and beyond, and we are seeking talented individuals to join us on this journey.

The successful Business Development Manager will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in a start-up environment. This role requires a self-starter who can develop a sales strategy through a mix of self-prospecting and marketing leads, and who can define their own work structure. Key responsibilities include acquiring new customers and partners, onboarding and managing these accounts, and helping us reach our ambitious product adoption goals by breaking into new industries and markets. You will also have the opportunity to develop your technical and project management skills.

Experience in leveraging cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and IT is essential, along with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities for Amazon Shipping.
  • Drive revenue, adoption, and market share for our product.
  • Manage prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline development (self-prospecting and converting marketing leads).
  • Engage with clients and build relationships.
  • Negotiate and close deals.
  • Manage customer onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Continuously analyze and improve processes to enhance user experience, reduce costs, and boost organizational performance.
A Day in the Life

Your day involves identifying new business opportunities, sourcing leads through various channels, and building a strong pipeline. You will stay informed about market trends in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Shipping, and tailor business plans to client needs. Leading negotiations, managing contracts, and ensuring smooth onboarding are key tasks. Post-onboarding, you will focus on driving product adoption and optimizing customer spend, always seeking ways to expand and improve business processes.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Background in business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
