Job summary

PSS Utilities in Rochford is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our expanding team. You will attend road shows, build and maintain client relations, and represent the company nationwide, travelling to opportunities as needed.

The role involves managing the sales pipeline, preparing proposals and tenders, negotiating terms, and delivering regular reports on activity and ROI to senior management. A proactive, strategic thinker with CRM and MS Office proficiency will excel.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Proven track record in business development or sales, specifically in drainage, water sewerage or environmental services sectors.
  • Strong understanding of UK drainage and water sewerage market, including regulatory and environmental compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work across departments and lead negotiations.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills; able to plan long-term and adapt to market changes.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet business needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
