Job summary

The Lanes Group, the UK's largest independent water and wastewater services provider, is seeking an Area Development Manager in Leeds. You will develop new business opportunities and nurture existing relationships across the region, reporting to the Regional Sales manager while driving growth.

This role offers an uncapped earning potential with a strong emphasis on B2B sales, relationship building and strategic account development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Target and source new business across the region.
• Develop and grow business with national accounts.
• Attend site visits to evaluate work requested.
• Quote for works quickly in line with costings.
• Follow up quotations to secure business.
• Upsell to existing clients and plan for future needs.
• Manage own diary and administration.
• Collaborate with depot manager to hit sales targets and forecasts.
• Travel to locations for training, events and meetings.
• Attend sales and networking events.
• Promote services via campaigns and LinkedIn.

We are the UK’s largest end to end drainage solution provider with depots strategically located across the UK from Aberdeen to Plymouth, to ensure round the clock coverage for customers and clients alike.

About The Role

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced Sales Professional with drive and ambition to be appointed into the role of Area Development Manager for one of our well established UK Drainage Depots. This role is reporting to the Regional Sales manager to develop new business opportunities and maintain and develop existing relationships.

Location: Leeds

Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 Hours per week.

Salary: depending on previous experience + uncapped earning potential (OTE 75k)

Responsibilities – But Not Limited To

• Targeting and sourcing new business across the region
• Working with National accounts to develop and grow business
• Attending site visits to evaluate work requested
• Quoting for works quickly in accordance with costings
• Proactively following up on quotations to secure business
• Upselling to existing clients, maintaining relationships and understand future needs to secure business
• Managing your own diary, administration
• Working closely with depot manager to achieve sales targets and forecasting
• Travelling to various locations and regional training events & meetings
• Attending sales events, networking events
• Proactively selling the services through advertising campaigns and LinkedIn etc

Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role

• Business to Business Sales experience essential
• Service industry sales experience - ideally with drainage/waste management or construction related industry or multi utility essential
• Excellent work ethic who can go above and beyond to ensure the best service is delivered
• Desire to succeed in a niche but highly rewarding market
