Location: South Wales - covering South Wales, the Midlands & South West, with occasional wider UK travel
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Role Overview
Rhino Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading fire safety company for an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager / Account Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of a territory, develop new business and build long-term relationships with both new and existing clients within the fire safety sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in growing the business, developing opportunities and ensuring customers receive the right technical and commercial solutions.
The Role
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across South Wales, the Midlands and South West
- Develop opportunities across fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, suppression systems, service contracts and fire safety consultancy
- Manage existing accounts and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Work closely with internal sales, technical and support teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Prepare tenders, proposals and sales contracts
- Research market trends and identify opportunities for business growth
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using CRM systems
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions
- Proactively manage customer relationships and resolve issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitor and report on sales performance
- Assist with project handovers and provide technical support where required
About You
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced Business Development Manager / Account Manager who is comfortable working from a blank canvas and generating results.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in fire safety sales
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, including BS5839 Part 1 and 6
- Understanding of emergency lighting to BS5266
- Experience selling fire extinguishers, suppression systems and service contracts
- Experience managing large accounts and sales pipelines
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain technical products and services clearly to customers
- Proven ability to generate new business and work towards sales targets
- Competent using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service focus
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of passive fire protection
- Experience using field service management systems
- Understanding of SLAs and KPIs
- Knowledge of relevant fire safety industry standards and regulations
