We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Business Development Managers to join a leading supplier of gourmet foods and ingredients in the UK. Renowned for their industry reputation, our client has earned widespread recognition through multiple industry and supplier awards. With a strong presence across the UK, they have successfully achieved nationwide distribution within the foodservice market, supplying national restaurant chains, hotels, contract caterers, travel operators, and specialist manufacturers. Their product portfolio includes an impressive range of branded and private-label premium chocolate, pastry, and ingredients. Following continued growth, the business is seeking Business Development Managers to cover the North of England and the Midlands.
Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth across your designated region. Your focus will be on managing relationships with high-end hospitality customers, including Michelin-starred restaurants, 4- and 5-star hotels, Chocolatiers, Bakers, and ice cream manufacturers. In addition to nurturing existing accounts, you will proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with the company’s strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with the wider Sales and Technical teams to ensure customers receive the highest level of service and support.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in sales and account management, with a proven track record of success in the foodservice or hospitality sectors. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships. You should be highly organised, driven, and passionate about exceeding customer expectations while achieving sales targets.
