I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation, stable client base, and a record of consistent growth. This role offers the opportunity to work with a high-performance international team in a remote, work-from-home setting focused on the UK and Western Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new business and managing accounts within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies across various therapeutic areas, including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. A hunter mentality, a strong network, and a proven sales track record in the region are essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Achieving sales and business development targets.
• Developing and executing strategies for target markets.
• Prospecting and building a pipeline of sales opportunities and RFPs.
• Using Salesforce to track client activities and opportunities.
• Leading the sales process for leads from internal and external sources.
• Managing proposal development to meet client expectations.
• Identifying profitable market niches based on evidence.
• Collaborating with marketing to support business development strategies.
• Setting sales targets and strategies based on industry knowledge.
