I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation and excellent growth track record. This is a newly created, exciting role working with a high-performance international team. The organization offers a collaborative culture supported by a respected commercial team and clinical experts.

The role is an individual sales contributor position, primarily remote, focusing on the UK and Western Europe. Responsibilities include securing new business and managing accounts in pharma, biotech, and medical device sectors across various therapeutic areas such as oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. Success requires a hunter mentality, a strong network, and a proven sales record in the region, selling comprehensive CRO solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Achieving sales and business development targets
• Developing and implementing business strategies for target markets
• Prospecting to build a sales pipeline and generate RFPs from qualified potential clients
• Using Salesforce to track client interactions and opportunities
• Leading and managing the sales process from lead generation to closing
• Overseeing proposal development to align with client expectations
• Identifying profitable market niches based on evidence
• Collaborating with marketing for strategic support
• Providing input on sales targets and strategies
• Supporting pre-sales activities and resource allocation
