Function:

The Business Consultant will work with customers and internal teams to ensure the success of the UMAX solution, focusing on managing customer needs from a business and market regulation perspective. The role involves providing business and market guidance to application consultants and supporting mediation decisions with the customer business.

The position is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR, requiring experience in the Irish market (ROI and NIE) and ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our cloud-based software solution for water and energy utilities, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As a Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you will:

• Serve as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops and meetings with clients onsite.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing teams.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and identify risks proactively.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to new and existing customers.
• Work with colleagues to upskill and understand industry best practices, especially in the Irish energy market.
• Continuously develop your knowledge of the Utility market in Ireland (ROI & NIE) and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring:

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• Deep knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant in large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in identifying business requirements and understanding customer processes.
• Skills in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• A team player with problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on approach, initiative-taker, quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-changing environments.
