Job Description:

Function:

The Business Consultant works for the customer and the Itineris project teams, responsible for the successful implementation of the UMAX solution by ensuring customer needs are managed from a business and market regulation perspective. The role focuses on providing market guidance to application consultants and supporting mediation decisions with the customer Business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR and requires experience in the Irish market (ROI and NIE). ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX automates business processes for water and energy utilities, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As a Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you will:

  • Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
  • Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
  • Attend workshops and meetings onsite with customers.
  • Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
  • Participate in project progress meetings and identify risk areas proactively.
  • Deliver high-quality consulting services to new and existing customers.
  • Work with colleagues to upskill and understand best practices in the Irish energy market (ROI & NIE).
  • Continuously develop knowledge within the Utility market, especially in Ireland, and transfer this knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring:

  • Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant in large ERP/CRM projects.
  • Expertise in identifying business requirements and understanding customer processes.
  • Skills in Business Process Management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Team player with problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, quality-driven, customer-oriented, adaptable to change.
