Function:

The Business Consultant will work for the customer and the Itineris project and service delivery teams. They will be responsible for the success of the UMAX solution by ensuring customers’ needs are managed from a business and market regulations perspective. The Business Consultant will focus on providing relevant business and market guidance to our application consultants and will support mediation decisions with the customer's business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR and requires experience of the market in Ireland, both ROI and NIE. ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our software solution for water and energy utilities, automating business processes and enabling better customer engagement. It is a cloud-based solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As our Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you…

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts to ensure business needs are translated into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops & meetings with the customer onsite.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Itineris standard UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Collaborate closely and develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project delivery teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risk areas.
• Apply your expertise to deliver high-quality consulting services to new and existing customers.
• Work with Itineris consultants to upskill in line with industry best practices and understand the energy market in Ireland (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously develop and extend your knowledge of the Utility market, especially in Ireland, and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent through experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the energy market of Ireland.
• At least +5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably in large, complex ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in identifying business requirements and understanding of customers’ business processes.
• Skilled in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with Dutch as a plus.
• Willing to travel depending on project phase.
• A team player with problem-solving mentality.
• Hands-on approach, proactive, and driven by quality.
