Function:

The Business Consultant will work for the customer and the Itineris project and service delivery teams, responsible for ensuring the success of the UMAX solution by managing customer needs from a business and market regulations perspective. The role focuses on providing relevant business and market guidance to our application consultants and supporting mediation decisions with the customer’s business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR, and requires experience of the Irish market, including ROI and NIE, with ERP implementation experience as a plus.

UMAX is our cloud-based software solution for water and energy utilities, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, automating business processes and enabling better customer engagement.

As a Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you will:

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops and meetings onsite with customers.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Collaborate closely and develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risk areas.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to new and existing customers.
• Work with colleagues to upskill in industry best practices and understand the Irish energy market (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously develop and transfer knowledge about the Utility market in Ireland.

What you bring:

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least +5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably in large, complex ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in business requirements gathering and understanding business processes.
• Skilled in Business Process management.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with Dutch as a plus.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• A team player with problem-solving mentality.
• Hands-on approach, proactive, and quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
