Function:

The Business Consultant will work with customers and the Itineris project teams, responsible for ensuring the success of the UMAX solution by managing customer needs from a business and market regulation perspective. The role focuses on providing relevant business and market guidance to application consultants and supporting mediation decisions with the customer.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR and requires market experience in Ireland (ROI and NIE) and ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our software solution for water and energy utilities, automating business processes and enabling better customer engagement. It is cloud-based, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365.

As our Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you will:

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops and meetings onsite with customers.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing teams.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Collaborate closely and develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project delivery teams.
• Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risk areas.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to customers.
• Work with consultants to upskill according to industry best practices and understand the energy market in Ireland (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously develop knowledge within the Utility market, especially Ireland, and transfer knowledge to colleagues.

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least +5 years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant, preferably in large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in business requirements and understanding of business processes.
• Skills in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with Dutch as a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• A team player with problem-solving mentality.
• Hands-on, proactive, quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
