West Sussex County Council in Bognor Regis is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to plan, analyse, capture, document and implement business processes and/or business cases within the Programme/Project lifecycle. You will create requirements documentation and specifications under tight deadlines.

The role involves hybrid working, occasional travel to other council sites, and a fixed-term/secondment until October 2028. Salary ranges from £56,874 to £60,771 per annum with 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualification in a relevant field or equivalent substantial experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge in a related setting.
• Experienced project manager with the ability to assess project progress, oversee process redesigns, and implement service changes.
• Skilled in conducting research and data analysis, both internally and externally, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively.
• Experience in business process design, testing, as well as verification and validation techniques.
• Proven ability to understand business requirements and, through a structured process, model, validate, and translate them into comprehensive business requirement specifications.

Responsabilités

• Undertake the successful delivery of the assigned Programme/Project documentation as defined and agreed with the Programme or Project managers, sponsors, or Project Management Office, ensuring it is completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
• Analyse and thoroughly document the business and/or user requirements, developing and publishing all agreed-upon documentation.
• Oversee the production of business processes and planned deliverables.
• Encourage and enhance the skills and capabilities of team members to ensure the successful delivery of assigned work within the Programme/Project team.
• Identify opportunities to reduce non-essential costs within the programme/project, while continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and add value to the service.
