Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking an IT Business Analyst to analyse complex requirements and identify options for applying technical solutions to improve processes and services in the county. You will be part of the Consultancy and Research function, delivering analysis, advice and good practice across service areas.

You will liaise with business and IT SMEs, document findings, and provide recommendations throughout the project delivery cycle, working in a small, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing and evaluating complex information.
• Ability to provide expert advice verbally and in written reports.
• Knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques.
• Ability to plan change and underpin technology.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate complex requirements and identify options for using technical solutions to improve business processes and services.
• Provide expert analysis, guidance and input throughout the project delivery cycle.
• Liaise with business and IT subject matter experts to gather, document and assess findings.
• Support the development of business cases based on thorough research and analysis.
• Work in a small, customer-focused team and serve as an initial contact point for IT Services engagement.
