A consulting firm in the UK is seeking an experienced individual to drive the capture of IT financial management requirements. The role involves collaborating with Finance and IT stakeholders, evaluating technology solutions to meet FinOps needs, and developing cost models across business units. You will analyze and optimize the existing ServiceNow Proven Optics solution. Strong experience as a Financial/FinOps practitioner or Business Analyst is essential. This opportunity is for a managed resource for a duration of three months.
Lead the capture, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements related to IT financial management and FinOps capabilities.
Work closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to understand current cost structures, financial processes, and reporting needs.
Support the evaluation of appropriate technology solutions to meet FinOps and IT cost transparency requirements.
Assess and help realise the benefits of the existing ServiceNow Proven Optics solution, including identifying gaps, improvement opportunities, and optimisation areas.
Analyse IT costs and develop high-level cost allocation and apportionment models across business units.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to validate requirements, assumptions, and proposed approaches.
Translate financial and technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements for technical and delivery teams.
Collaborate with solution architects and platform teams to ensure requirements are feasible, aligned with ServiceNow capabilities, and fit for purpose.
Produce clear documentation, including requirement specifications, process flows, cost models, and summary reports for stakeholders.
Support decision-making by providing insights, options, and recommendations based on financial analysis and business priorities.
Work with the relevant owners to confirm and refine the full scope as it evolves.
